Ruben Amorim admits that Manchester United will have to sell players to buy in the summer, while the financial problems of the club linger about Old Trafford.
As this week it appeared that the Premier League profit and sustainability rules will remain next season and United have been established to make further cuts on the staff, it was also revealed that the All Blacks sued the co-owners of United to take their Sponsor agreement.
Amorim wanted to distance himself from the problems while he prepares for Sunday's game in Tottenham, but he acknowledged that the obstacles that United experienced in the transfer window of January will again hinder in the summer.
Marcus Rashford, Antony and Tyrell Malacia left Old Trafford on loan, while only Patrick Dorgu arrived in a £ 29.4 million deal from Lecce.
The financial misery of United made them vulnerable for their prize activa Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo because they are worth 100 percent profit under PSR rules, in which both players attract a strong interest in Chelsea and Garnacho from Napoli.
Both Academy products can be goals again in the summer, because Amorim admitted that he had to sacrifice some players to bring in the ones he wants.
“Our biggest problem is Tottenham now,” said United's head coach. 'We know that I have to understand these problems with the moment of the club, but that problem is not new. You knew the rules of (financial) fair play, we currently have a problem, but my focus is on that and not on the other things.
'Here is simple to do something that we need to sell players. My focus is to prepare the game. The window is closed and we must concentrate on the next game and in the summer we will see. '
In January United admitted that the club had to make 'difficult choices' to become profitable again and to avoid a possible violation of the rules.
“We currently make a considerable loss every year – a total of more than £ 300 million in the last 3 years,” the club told fans last month. “This is not sustainable and if we do not act now, we are in danger of not complying with the PSR/FFP requirements in the coming years and the considerably influence of our ability to compete on the field.”
On Thursday it was considered that profit and sustainability rules that remain in place for another year. Clubs had initially agreed to sign up for new protocols to replace the existing, controversial profit and sustainability rules.
And United has fallen victim to the decision, where the club has to buy to strengthen their team, but does not have the financial freedom to do this unless they discharge players.
After participating, Amorim burned his United -side 'The Worst In The Club's History' while struggling to reverse their shape after a bad run under Erik ten Hag.
That would suggest that he wants to renew his side, but only left Patrick Dorgu and the middle behind Ayden Heaven were signed in the January window.
Amorim's comment also comes after Mail Sport has revealed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos are planning to make more than 100 further fired at United.
Last year we revealed how officials were planning to dismiss 250 employees a quarter of the staff and part of a wide range of cost-saving measures at Old Trafford.
And it can now be announced that further pain is on the road in the form of more job losses. No figure is specified, but insiders expect more than 100 but less than 200.
The last cutbacks are supplied with the review. United had 1,112 employees before Ratcliffe took a quarter interest in the club early last year, which was by far the largest in the Premier League and was considerably higher than the rest of the Big Six. For example, Manchester City employed 520 in the same period.
The move is aimed at freeing cash for Amorim to spend on the first team, while trying to bring the club back to his former glory.
