Harry Kane is left sprawling on the turf after taking nasty blow to the jaw

Harry Kane remained extinct on the turf after a main conflict with Piero Hincapie during the aimless draw by Bayern Munich with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

While a free kick was waved in the box, Kane climbed the ladder to fight for an air duel before his jaw made contact with Hincapie's shoulder.

The defender of Leverkusen had words for Kane while he was on the floor, but escaped every punishment for his reckless attempt to win the ball.

Kane was quickly cared for by club physios after the annoying collision, so that he grabbed his jaw the following minutes.

It took a few minutes of treatment for the Captain of England to restore again and see the last moments of a frustrating first half for the Bundesliga-Table Toppers.

15 minutes later, Bayern fans would have been relieved to see their No 9 running out of the tunnel to play the next 45 minutes of the game.

Although Vincent Kompany's side could not forge a winning goal, they maintain a healthy lead at the top of the Bundesliga, which released Leverkusen with eight points with eight points.

They will now shift their attention to the second stage of their Champions League -Playoff -collision with Celtic.

Bayern left Celtic Park with a 2-1 lead after the first stage and will try to abandon the Scottish champions in the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

After completing a full 90 minutes against Leverkusen, there are no signs that Kane is not available for the next European confrontation on its part.

Bayern needs their frontman to fire. Kane is their top goalscorer this season, both in its own country and in Europe.

England's top scorer is at the top of the Bundesliga scorkaart with 21 goals, and has scored the fourth most in the Champions League campaign 2024-25.

The German giants are well positioned to win their 12th Bundesliga title in 13 seasons, after their 11-year-old streak when Champions was stopped by Bayer Leverkusen in the past term.

A trophy this season with Bayern would be Kane's first in his illustrious 15-year career.
