Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be set to hand out some debut in the first team in the Premier League match on Sunday in Tottenham.
United Vecht, just like their opponents, against an injury crisis during what has been shown a hectic period in the season.
Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Toby Collyer and Amad Diallo are currently all out of action.
And according to De Spiegel, Amorim has therefore moved to strengthen his team by calling on five teenagers from the United Academy.
Midfielders Sekou Kone and Jack Moorhouse, both 19, would have traveled to Harry Amass, 17, and Spits Chido Obi-Martin, 17, to London, next to goalkeeper Elyh Harrison.
It is assumed that some of them will appear on the couch in Tottenham, while others have been taken in reserve in case more injuries strike before the game starts.
None of the five teenagers have previously played a first team for United.
Kone came to United in August when he signed with Guidars FC in his native Mali. He previously represented his country on the FIFA U17 World Cup and the U17 Africa Cup of Nations – both in 2023.
Moorhouse was born in Manchester, but is eligible to play for Ireland, as well as England, at an international level. This season he scored three goals in seven games in the Premier League 2.
Harrison, who was signed at the League One-Kant Stevenage in 2022, got some first-team experience during a loan in Chester last year. He was also an unused replacement when United lost 2-0 earlier this month to Crystal Palace.
Amass joined United from Watford in 2023. He never played a first team competition for the Hornets, but played on their couch in just 15 years. He was also an unused sub for United last season during a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in April.
In the meantime, Obi-Martin attracted the media attention several times while playing youth football for the former club Arsenal.
He scored famous 10 goals for the U16 side of the Gunners in a 14-3 victory over Liverpool in November 2023. He then achieved seven goals in April last year during a 9-0 win over Norwich at U18 level.
United collected a huge coup by signing Obi-Martin in September and he scored a hat trick during his first start for the U18 team of his new club in a 6-0 win over Nottingham Forest. He hit another hat trick last week in a 5-1 win over Chelsea.
There will probably also be many young people in the Spurs side.
Ange Postecoglou's 20-man team for last weekend's 2-1 defeat in Aston Villa contained no fewer than six teenagers, including four in the starting line-up.
United traveled on Saturday via the coach to London after the train they intended to catch, was canceled due to signaling problems. Amorim's men are planning to return to Manchester by plane shortly after the last whistle.
United is on Sunday's game in 14th place, two points ahead of Spurs. She takes a victory for both sides up to 12th place.
