Micah Richards believes that Ruben Amorim's comments in the media make his work more difficult than it should be, after the defeat of Manchester United in Tottenham on Sunday.
United received their 12th defeat from the Premier League campaign – their most in the top flight in 31 years – after James Maddison had hit the only goal of the match in the 13th minute and had punished a goalkeeper error by Andre Onana.
The visitors insisted on an equalizer in the second half, but fell wrong in a lack of advanced edge, leaving them in the table 15th.
After the defeat, Amorim repeated that his job is 'so difficult' after his ninth loss in the hot chair since he came to United in November.
Former Manchester City star Richards, however, focused on the way the Portuguese coach speaks of the press.
The football podcast is about the rest, Richards said: 'When he said this is the worst team in the United History, whatever quotes he wants to use, which he does not understand is that that is a head every week.
'If he doesn't like a player, if he doesn't like Rashford, that's his decision. We can accept that if experts are your decision, we respect your decision.
'But all the other things around it that he actually makes it harder for himself. He does not understand what he is doing, because everything is chaos. It's chaotic. '
Amorim is known that he does not get his words in the public eye since he came to United, with brutal reviews on his part a regular event in interview after the competition and press conferences.
The red Devils boss burned his team as 'perhaps the worst in the history of Manchester United' after the defeat at home against Brighton last month.
The ruthless label that he put on his own side led to a considerable number of media attention before the 40-year-old later admitted that he was wrong for the comments and that frustration got better from him.
Amorim was also criticized for his handling of Marcus Rashford, where the Portuguese coach forbade the long -term servant before Hisloan moved to Aston Villa in the winter transfer window.
Amorim publicly asked the superstar in training and stated that he should drastically change his attitude to be brought back from the cold.
And now Richards believes that Amorim's actions create stories that do not have to be told, with United who struggles in the way they are.
“You mentioned Sporting Lisbon, you can say what you want if you win, and no respect for Sporting Lisbon – they are not at the same level of club as a man United,” Richards continued.
“I feel that he has to, I don't want to say that I focus on football, but stop giving people complaining bigger stories than it must.”
