Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the two clubs that are most connected to Bayer Leverkusen Central Defender Jonathan Tah, who no longer has a contract at the end of the season. Tah is able to sign a pre -contract and is looking for a movement in the summer, but it is unlikely that Bayern will be his destination.
The Bavarian Giant chased tah last summer, but was unable to agree a deal with Leverkusen. Even three months later in November, agent Pini Zahavi noticed that Tah had 'an excellent opportunity' to get to Bayern, but now sports director Christoph FreundD seems to have confirmed reports that they had left the race for the German international.
'The name of Tah is not in our minds now. Our defense is at a high level and it is not something on Bayern's table for the following season, ”Freund explained, as quoted by Sport.
Recent reports have also claimed that Tah Barcelona has established his priority for the summer, although no deal has been agreed. He is strongly connected to a switch with Catalonia, but that was questioned by the new contract to Ronald Arajo. Barcelona Sporting Director Deco has also described it as 'difficult' for the club to bring in another central defender, with five in their books for next season currently.
There is still some uncertainty about the future of Araujo, with various reports that pop up about potential release clauses in his new deal, and Deco confirms that if he is unhappy, he may leave the club. When Araujo moves, Tah looks like a probably target. The key to his future with regard to the Blaugrana could be when Barcelona discovers the decision of Araujo, and when Tah decides that he wants to accept an offer. The 28-year-old will undoubtedly have offers outside the Blaugrana.
