Anthony Smith's pension fight for UFC Fight Night
According to various reports that the MMA scene is circulating, Anthony Smith is able to get the Chinese Ko artist Zhang Minghang on the main map of UFC Fight Night 257 in April.
That event is planned for April 26 and will be held in Kansas City, Missouri – other fights already announced are Michel Pereira vs ABUSUPIYAN MAGOMEDOV, Giga Chikadze vs David Onama and Ikram Aliskerov vs Andre Muniz.
“It is very logical why they chose them,” he said before Mingyang was mentioned as his opponent, after he had previously confirmed that this would be Anthony Smith's last fight in the UFC.
“I think they were more focused on the matchup and the potential of what the fight would look like, and less about names [and] Legacy, “he explained.
Smith may have scored a fantastic entry victory on Vitor Petrino on UFC 301, but has suffered back-to-back losses in his last two fights by Roman Dolidze and Dominick Reyes.
Stand opposite him in Kansas City will be the Chinese Ko artist Zhang Mingyang, who not only drives an 11-Fight-winning series, but an 11-Fight-winning series that also contains 11 straight first round knockouts.
“That fits more with my personality. I didn't really care how big a name it is, I care about what kind of fight I would have for my last one. And I'm pretty enthusiastic about this. “
UFC fans shared by the last fight by Anthony Smith are against 'Mountain Tiger'
Anthony 'Lionheart' Smith remains one of the most beloved hunters in the UFC selection, and therefore so many fans are worried about his last fight against such a dangerous Ko artist.
On the one hand you have many fans who speculate that this could be a rather depressing pension fight for Smith – especially in view of the fact that he was brutally eliminated in his last fight against Reyes.
Mingyang is 18-6 as a professional MMA hunter and 2-0 under the UFC banner; Both of them are the first round knockouts about Brendson Ribeiro and Ozzy Diaz.

Could have retired at 301 for a submission of victory, or even at 303 W/ a loss for Dolidze, but at least on a UFC PPV.
Instead, he can retire during a fighting evening in Kansas against a man who has not heard anyone who will probably beat him
