Forrest Griffin is the vice president of Athlete Development at the UFC Performance Institute
The former UFC light weight was champion in the room when Strickland vs Sneako went down.
However, he insists that he was duped to make it happen through the controversial Star of 185LB, whose actions have led to a ban on camera patterns at the UFC PI.
“So first I don't know what Sneako is. I am not this guy. I don't know these things, I just told you.
“They came in, it has nothing to do with me. [Strickland] Says: “Yes, I'm going to spar a pro -boxer” and book the octagon. Great. Cool. Whatever.
“I see it and” I am like, I don't know, this doesn't look good. “I look at it and I have something like:” I don't know what's going on here. “
“I do an episode of celebrities and I train RG3 [Robert Griffin III]. Me and RG3 do boxing exercises and I train with some cool people.
“I heard a sound because I may be 30 feet away from the Octagon. I heard all these people say, “Stop!” I look up and certainly enough Sean Strickland just beats the S – from this child.
'I had something like that from everyone [want to step in]? I had something like that, oh s – t. I am the one who works here. I should do something '. So I run inside and stop.
“I also received some phone calls that evening. Such as: “Forrest, what are you doing?” Okay, we will lock it up.
“No video. You can spar on videos to look back later, but it is not necessary to take a camera crew with you.”
