
Arsenal was sanctioned by the FA after their collision with wolves.
The Gunners achieved a vital 1-0 win in terms of the race to win the Premier League tile on January 25, but it didn't come without having to work -or controversy.
The side of Mikel Arteta spent more than half of the game with 10 men after defender Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent by referee Michael Oliver for a trip on Wolves' Matt Doherty.
After the call, Gunners players Oliver, with people like Gabriel and Declan Rice who were involved in expressing their opinions and displeasure during the call. It was eventually destroyed.
Yet Arsenal won 1-0 thanks to the second half of Riccardo Calafiori, with Joao Gomes of Wolves also a red card 20 minutes of the time.
Now the FA has confirmed that Arsenal has been fined £ 65,000 for their game in an 'incorrect way' when Lewis-Skelly was sent.
A report was: 'An independent regulatory committee has imposed a fine of £ 65,000 on Arsenal with regard to the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 25 January.
“It was claimed that Arsenal did not succeed in ensuring that their players did not behave in an incorrect way every 43rd, and the club then admitted this indictment.”
In his extraordinary incident report, Oliver wrote: “After the dismissal of 43rd minute, a number of Arsenal players surrounded me to protest against the decision.”
In the meantime, Arsenal argued: 'The unlawful nature of the dismissal of the MLS (Lewis-Skelly) explains why the AFC players wanted to speak with the referee and for him to reconsider his decision
'The players were understandably emotional after the incident, which explains their actions. The AFC players were civil and not aggressive. They were not gesting or accusing. They do not behave in a way that was offensive, violent, threatening, offensive, indecent, offensive or provocative.
“The AFC players just wanted the referee to reconsider the decision and find out what the outcome would be after each VAR assessment.”
Other points included Gabriel as the 'main representative' and usually having a hand behind his back, and that the decision could have influenced their season.
Arsenal, however, admitted the indictment.
In the meantime, the police have investigated threats and abuse that are aimed at referee Oliver, the PGMOL announced.
The statement was: 'We were shocked by the threats and abuse aimed at Michael Oliver after the Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Arsenal match.
'No civil servant may be subject to any form of abuse, let alone the disgusting attacks that have been aimed at Michael and his family for the past 24 hours.
'The police are aware and a number of investigations have started. We support Michael and all who are affected, and are determined to tackle this unacceptable behavior. '
