‘All roads lead to Liverpool star’ – Barcelona transfer priority becoming clear

Barcelona continues to have problems with their salary limit, but it did not stop them from being big in the past, and it would be surprising if they did not pursue at least one star this summer. Sports director Deco has given talk about transfers and notes that they don't need much to get through the door, but the left -hand place still seems to be at the top of their list of priorities.

Far from a rotation option or a player for the future, Barcelona appears to try to bring in a player of start quality on the left. Athletic Club wing player Nico Williams was their top goal last summer, but after he decided not to come, they shifted their attention to Dani Olmo. Marcus Rashford of Manchester United was their most important target in the January transfer window, but they had no room in their salary limit.

The more modest form of Williams has cooled Barcelona's interest, while Sport says they will not move for Leroy Sane or Mohamed Salah because of their age. Another player on their shortlist as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but he has since moved to Paris Saint-Germain. That leaves AC Milan's Rafael Leao and Luis Diaz from Liverpool behind while their top goals remain.

President Joan Laporta dreams of signing Leao, but the requirements of € 100 million from Milan and the inconsistency that the Barcelona sports department sees in him reduces the chances of a movement for him. Moreover, he has had problems with several managers at the moment. On the other hand, Diaz is loved by the recruitment department and they believe that he is in his prime at the age of 28.

The Colombian winger no longer has a contract in 2027, and with a long -way renewal with Liverpool, that also works in favor of Barcelona. He has also expressed the wish to play for the Blaugrana. If they can make enough sales to finance a big move, then Diaz is 'very well positioned' to be that movement.
