Match report
Celtic saw their heart broken by Bayern Munich in the play-offs of the Champions League, while the side of Vincent Kompany yielded a last-gasp winner to reach the last 16.
The German giants gave a 2-1 lead in the second stage of their play-off draw, which was held in the Allianz Arena on Tuesday. Harry Kane started the game, but was removed during the break, because he had had a big doubt to play due to an injury.
Bayern struggled to break down their Scottish visitors, who were aggregated thanks to the shock goal of Nicolas-Gereke Kühn just after the hour. The former Bayern star used really bad defense of Min-Jae Kim to slide a nice low finish along Manuel Neuer and in the bottom corner.
But in the last 30 seconds of the stop time, Alphonso Davies squeezed a winner on the back post to send Bayern. Kasper Schmeichel took out a super salvation after Leon Goretzka's header, but Davies was present to bundle the rebound home despite the attempt by Cameron Carter vickers.
Celtic rejects a number of opportunities to score in the first half when they exposed Bayern's brittle defense. But they were made to pay for their failures to nets more than once, where Bayern is now confronted with Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen.
