Last year on the way to UFC 303, Max Holloway stated that he thinks the UFC should go that extra step to put one of their current stars on a pedestal.
We have seen some unprecedented performances in the Octagon since Alex Pereira debuted in 2021 with the promotion.
He has not only delivered spectacular versions under the brightest lights, but the Brazilian has proven that he is someone where the UFC can go with the fans who can do everything that Pereira loves.
Pereira will now return to UFC 313 to defend his title against Magomed Ankalaev with Holloway who previously said that the champion deserves an even more extensive introduction than normal.
