Real Madrid fans aim homophobic chants at Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola

Real Madrid celebrated an exceptional European evening against Manchester City on Wednesday, albeit without part of the adrenaline of previous years. Los Blancos rode with a 3-1 win over the city and won 6-3 aggregated, but after the fourth minute opener of Kylian Mbappe, the draw was never doubted.

Before the first stage, Carlo Ancelotti mentioned the Clash 'A Clasico' in Europe in recent years, with the two parties that meet in the Champions League for four years. That speaks of the rivalry that has grown between the two parties in recent years, for many of whom they both represented the gold standard in European football.

City, however, looked far from their form from previous years, and the Santiago Bernabeu had a lot of fun in their downfall. Their special rivalry with Pep Guardiola adds extra sweetness for Los Blancos, with ironic hymns of 'Guardiola, stay' around the Bernabeu on points, as reported by Sport.

However, those chants came across the border, and again the Bernabeu fell into the sad harassing of the past, while the Bernabeu loudly aimed a homophobic song in Guardiola that comes from his time as a Barcelona player in the nineties. On Wednesday evening: “Ay, Guardiola, what you look like. First it was the medicines. Today you can be seen in Chueca. '

The song refers to the Chueca district of Madrid, famous for his nightlife and in particular the gay community. His 'thinness' is also a nod to the HIV AIDS crisis under the eighties and nineties that the gay population all over the world slaughtered at the time.

UEFA still has to pronounce the issue and neither has Real Madrid or Manchester City comment. Although the efforts have been increased in recent years to tackle racism in Spain, homophobia, sexism and other forms of abuse have made little progress.
