Atletico Madrid is described this season on a number of occasions as the side with the most depth in La Liga, with Diego Simeone having a number of alternatives and various profiles to gain. Not in the least La Liga's second score last season, Alexander Sorloth, who was kept for a role despite a strong shape, usually from the bank.
The only area that has been emphasized for some time as a desire for Los Colchoneros in the transfer market, and especially for Simeone, is the sitting midfielder position.
