Leicester City 0-4 Brentford: Crushing defeat piles more pressure on Van Nistelrooy

Brentford removed the four straight Premier League road and deepened the relegation of Leicester City with a pounding 4-0 win in the King Power Stadium.

Three goals in the space of 15 first half minutes put the bees of Thomas Frank on Friday, with Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard all nets.

The excellent Mikkel Damsgaard helped the first two goals and chose Wissa with a lush pass for the 17th minute opener, before Mbeumo was found free in the area for a curly finish.

Brentford was in Cruise Control when Norgaard nodded an Mbeumo Free-Fick Home for their 32nd minute third, and they could have had a fourth goal for the break.

Kevin Damage nodded against the post, then the filthy finish of Keane Lewis-Potter was not allowed, while the ball bounced from his arm before he nested in the top left corner.

Leicester never threatened a fightback, and only a spectacular fingertip saved from Mads Hermansen prevented the header of Yehor Yarmoliuk made it out of it after the break.

Some more pathetic defense of the men of Ruud van Nistorrooy made Brentford added a fourth to death, Fabio Carvalho Drilling Home after a goalmouth Scramble.

After a 10th defeat in their last 11 league matches, Leicester 19th, two points on the drift of 17th place Wolves, who have a match in hand.

Brentford is now a maximum of 10th, four points of the top seven.
