Leicester 0-4 Brentford: Foxes fans fume as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side suffer sixth straight home defeat without scoring

By the time the third goal entered, the Leicester fans had seen enough. Only half an hour was on the clock, but they closed them up from their seats and to the hall to the hall. Everywhere except here. Everything except to view this.

Those were closest to the supporters of Brentford, said goodbye to the tune of 'Cheerio, Cheerio' of the jubilant travelers.

Those who stayed turned their voice on everything for them.

“You are not suitable for wearing the shirt,” they sang to the players. “Sack the board,” they called to those in the directors' box.

Can you blame them? This is a club that won the FA Cup, the Community Shield not so long ago and challenged European competition. It is now almost 10 years ago, but still one that won the Premier League title.

What people have been able to say about delusions of Grandeur recently, they certainly do not earn this. Even if a promoted side, they should be better than this.

But these fans have now seen how their team loses 10 of their last 11 league matches after Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard and Fabio Carvalho completed the most routine of victories.

Leicester is now the first side in the English history of top flight that lose six straight matches at home without scoring.

Proponents are so disillusioned with the mismanagement of the club that a group of fans led a protest march to the King Power Stadium for their last game here to Arsenal.

This time it was not necessary, the pieces of empty blue chairs that were littered around the ground before the kick-off spoke loud enough. They would roast long before half -time.

Friday night under the lights? We prefer to stay at home and look at the box, thanks. At least you can just switch to the world of the gardener.

Those who were here made their voices heard. Hans of 'Sack the Board' greeted Brentford's third goal. Deafening anger met the half-time whistle.

Perhaps it could have been different if Leicester had converted one of their early chances like Woyo Coulibaly and then Jamie Vardy, who was sued for the counterattack, both shots had saved by Mark Flekken in the first minutes.

But then this is a side that last scored 76 days ago.

Few sights still stir the soul like Vardy bursts through the goal, but even those flashes of the good times would never be enough to silence the frustrations as cries of 'we want Rudkin out', focused in the director of The club Jon Rudkin, broke out from the home side after 14 minutes – the number seconds Leicester was famous in registering the signing of Adrien Silva eight years ago.

And certainly not when Brentford took the lead three minutes later when Boubakary Soumare gave the ball away, Mikkel Damsgaard split the Leicester defense with a single pass and Yoane Wissa did the rest.

Only 10 minutes later it was 2-0. Damsgaard found Mbeumo on the right, which cut in to his left foot and curled a wonderful effort in the far corner.

“You are not suitable for wearing the shirt,” came the songs of the home fans.

When Christian Norgaard nodded in Mbeumo's free kick at the nearby pole to make it three after half an hour, those cries went to the club's board.

Keane Lewis-Potter had the ball in just after the break, but a handball in the process saw it excluded.

It was all that simple. And when it comes to this Leicester side under Ruud van Nistelrooy, all so predictable. No trust, no organization, no hope. Keep playing and Leicester celebrates their 10th anniversary of their title profit in the championship.

In his 13 league games that are in charge, Van Nistelrooy scored fewer goals, admitted much more and won fewer points than predecessor Steve Cooper.

Mads Hermansen denied Brentford a fourth replacement of Yehor Yrmoliuk's lightning header before Wout Faes made his way to the path of Wissa's Scot.

Not that it was enough to save blushes, their cheeks had been flushed for a long time and the anger that met the last whistle of the few who were still left after Fabio Carvalho had made four.
