Fans fume after VAR caused THREE-MINUTE delay to check if Everton goal was onside against Man United

Fans were furious during the collision of Everton with Man United, after VAR caused more than a three -minute delay after the opener of Beto against the Red Devils.

The goal seemed to be on the side when it was viewed with the naked eye, but the VAR thought it was necessary to take their time with the call.

Beto was on the side when he was taught by Abdoulaye Doucoure to place the Toffees 1-0 up close.

After a corner just earlier, the striker was in an offside position when he stood in front of Andre Onana.

The VAR was initially not certain whether Beto blocked the position of the United goalkeeper, which probably led to the long delay.

However, many fans were not in the mood to extend any clement to the VAR and argued that the decision should have been packed much earlier.

A fan wrote on X: '3 minutes to check a goal…. Var not for me. '

Another wrote: “I am not sure why Var took so long to give what a clear goal was.”

A third asked: “Shocking defense, but why did it take three minutes to rule over the goal?”

Shortly thereafter, Beto played his role in Everton's second goal and shot the ball in Jack Harrison off the right wing, whose shot ran into the air and landed on Doucoure's feet that tapped the ball to double the lead.

No Premier League player scored more goals in February than Beto.
