Diego Simeone had a solid message for his players from Atletico Madrid while looking to fight for the La Liga title in the coming months.
Los Rojiblancos provided an excellent 3-0 win away from home during relegation that Valencia fights to move at the top above Real Madrid.
With the title race tightly balanced between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, Simeone also opposes Barcelona's threat, with several games on the cards.
All three sides are due to the Copa del Rey Semi Finals, but Simeone currently has the lead.
The victory on the road in the Estadio Mestalla was sealed by two first half goals from Julian Alvarez and a late clincher from Angel Correa.
Alvarez remains the key figure in the plans of Simeone, while he takes away concern about his ability to make the required impact in Madrid.
His drive to leave Manchester City last summer saw him lands in the plans of Simeone in the Estadio Metropolitano and the two Argentines have built up a strong bond that speaks to rush hour.
His tenacity was immediately absorbed by the Atletico Madid fans and the goals have started to flow since the beginning of 2025.
A brace at Valencia brings him to nine goals in competition campaign, and 19 scored in all competitions, in what a striking debut campaign has been for the 25-year-old.
Simeone is convinced that Alvarez can be the difference maker for his team for the rest of the campaign if he maintains the current form.
“He has already won everything at the age of 25 and he continues with that line of humility that makes him different from everyone else,” according to reports Diario like.
Next for Atletico Madrid is a trip to Barcelona in a Copa del Rey Semi Final First -stage on 25 February for a home books with Athletic Club on March 1.
