After a prolonged absence of the Octagon after losing his first UFC fight, the return of Nursulton Ruziboev to action came to UFC Seattle in a relatively short term. He had experimented with a move to Welterweight, but returned to 185 pounds for this outing.
The Uzbeekse Sterverts towers about almost everyone in the division on an impressive 6'5 and was able to be physically dominant in the opening round against UFC newcomer Eric Mcconico. He pushed a finish early, but was unable to land the big shot that was needed.
However, that all turned into round two, because he had almost immediately brought his rival to the ground with a powerful overhands. This was followed by a number of unanswered strikes before a new knock -down, where referee saw Keith Peterson intervene and stopped the match.
In his interview after the fight with Michael Bisping, he seemed to indicate that his days at 170LB are not ready. He explained that he would be willing to accept who the UFC offers with both weight.

The fight was added to UFC Seattle in a relatively short term, because both men were called to fill a card that had been destroyed by cancellations. Dominick Cruz was not only forced the event, but also the competition in general when he suffered an injury, while other attacks were moved and canceled.
Fortunately, Mcconico was already in the camp for a fight on Valentine's Day in Las Vegas on a Tuff-N-SUF, when he was called by management and told him he had received the UFC call. “I was not frustrated,” McConico told the official UFC website.
“There is a time and a place and it was just not my time. I just kept showing up, and that is what my way of thinking has been in recent years. Just keep doing the work and keep showing up and keep performing. ”
