After five annoying knockouts in a row, the Brazilian striking Melquizel Costa achieved the first submission of the Night against 36-Fecht Veteran Andre Fili.
Unfortunately for 'Touchy' Fili, who has been a UFC hunter for almost 12 years, fans on social media are not happy with the way that first round stopped.

Fans criticize 36-Vecht veteran via Rookie error at UFC Seattle
At the UFC Seattle Prelims, the popular Brazilian competition Melquizel Costa scored the biggest victory of his professional career when he tapped Andre 'Touchy' Fili with a Guillotine Choke in the first round.
In itself, that result would not surprise many fans – where Costa is an experienced grappler with seven (now eight) entry wins on his record; However, how he came to the choke has raised one or two eyebrows.
Fili was expected to keep the fight firmly within its preferred, ie on the feet. Yet the UFC veteran chose to shoot in for an early branch, before moving his head on the inside of Costa; In essence, give up his neck for the submission.
UFC Lightweight Competier Renato Moicano was one of the first to respond to the strange entry and wrote on X: “Incredibly, he placed himself in the guillotine.”
Comments from “high -level stuff”, “the guard was wide open” and “don't know why he dropped him, that was pretty stupid”, can be found in the answer section of that message.
Similar feelings are shared on social media; Because fans simply notice that Fili can be experienced much of an MMA hunter to make such a smoke error.

Costa responds to the winning of the first round in UFC Seattle
In the Octagon, Costa spoke with Michael Bisping in the clouds understandably in the clouds to have made the most out of such a huge opportunity so early in his young UFC career.
“For me it was an honor to have the opportunity to fight against Andre Fili. In the past, when I was in the countryside of Brazil that it was so far away and I saw him fighting Max Holloway – it was an honor to be able to share the Octagon with him. “
When asked if he was surprised to see Fili photographing for a Takedown when his submission match was so well known, Costa praised the UFC veteran as 'well completed' when they come.
“I think he is a complete hunter, I know he is good at beating, but we know his timing; He has been working on this for a long time, so he knows how to play the game – including on the floor. “
So when does Costa want to make his return? Well, if he had his way, he would participate in the UFC Fight Night card next weekend on the Apex.

Costa is now 22-7 as a professional and 3-2 under the UFC banner.
