Paddy Pimblett questions Dustin Poirier’s UFC retirement plan… ‘Fight your contract out’

The three -way war of words between UFC lightweight stars Dustin Poirier, Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett is taking a new turn.

Earlier this month, Dustin Poirier concluded rumors that he would fight against Pimblett for his UFC pension fight -which explained that his last Octagon outing should be 'only legends'.

While Paddy Pimblett understands why 'The Diamond' wants a greater name for his last fight, the Superstar scouse also wonders if it is really time for Dustin Poirier to hang the gloves.

Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett responds to Dustin Poirier's pension plan

Earlier this week, Dana White confirmed that Paddy Pimblett will be confronted with Michael Chandler in the Co-Main event of UFC 314 in April-Slechts a few weeks after rumors that it would be 'the Baddy' against Dustin Poirier.

Speaking through a training that vlog shared with his YouTube channel, Pimblett would first acknowledge that he understands what Poirier meant when he said 'only legends'.

That being said, Pimblett also questioned why Poirier is talking about retirement in the first place; noting that ‘The Diamond’ still has the skills to compete with the absolute best in the world.

“And he could earn more money on a PPV fighting someone else, but why would he retire after just one fight, lad?

Stop being a b—- a—, you know what I mean? Fight your contract out, have a few [more] To fight … [You’ve] I just had a good fight with Islam, do you know what I mean? “

The scouser then responded to the recent post by Michael Chandler, who was aimed at Poirier in which 'Iron' suggested that his former enemy was afraid of looking at the Liverpudlian.

In a video shared with his own social media channels, the popular American admitted that he is desperately back in the win column after a tough defeat against Charles Oliveira last November.
