Another crazy week in the UFC is over; Although it will certainly take a while before fans get a grip on 'El Matador' who officially continues with featherweight.
Earlier this week, the MMA world was sent in a frenzy when it was announced that Ilia Topuria had left its UFC title in favor of a long-awaited movement up to 155 pounds.
Almost immediately after that news hit the ether, fans began to speculate or this meant that Ilia Topuria would jump the queue to face the dominant Dagestani that rules his new division – Dana White has the latest news.

Dana White offers vague update on Ilia Topuria vs Islam Makhachev
Speaking after the controversial UFC fighting evening Seattle Main Event, Dana White was asked if Ilia Topuria himself had left the featherweight title, or whether the UFC had stripped him of his shiny golden belt.
“He did that – he said:” I did everything I can do here, I'm ready to go up “and so he left it,” Wit explains.
“He said he should not keep someone's opportunities and you know, I always respect it when boys do that.”
When asked whether the promotion is now looking for Topuria vs Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title, White chose to keep his cards close to his chest.
“There are other options, there are many S – in progress, otherwise I would have said [that fight’s on]. “
The potential unbeaten versus unbeaten title match has divided the wider MMA community, but also apparently split its own team of Makhachev – with his manager who contradicts the approval of his Coach of Topuria as a possible next opponent.
“Topuria vs. Dustin/Charles Contender Fight, to prove that he is a legitimate lightweight. So we don't have to beat 'small featherweight' yet, “said Rizvan Magomedov manager on X.
“We need large fights that make sense to everyone … We have already given opportunities to a featherweight champion that ruled for a long time.”
Malki Kawa, the manager of Topuria, was quickly striking back to those comments and wanted to “get the facts well” in a video that was shared on his Instagram page.
'He turned out [Alexander] Volkanovski In his first opportunity to eliminate him, the fight was not close … Then he beats Max Holloway, who happens to be one of the largest 145 pounds of all time.
“I'm not sure why he doesn't deserve a chance on 155 pounds, but I don't blame you, I don't want my client to fight Ilia Topuria.”
Dana White responds to UFC Fight Night Main Event Controverse
While Topuria vs Makhachev remains one of the best fights that the UFC could now make; That is Tomorrow's news – tonight is all about Henry Cejudo vs Song Yadong.
The most important event of UFC Seattle ended in controversial circumstances after the former double champion could not continue after a nasty double eye party.
'I have no idea [what he was thinking]I let him answer all those questions, “White said about Cejudo's decision to withdraw after the mistake.
“Song looked good, but yes, only he can answer those questions. I don't know if he thought: “If I stop here, is this a DQ or a no competition?” “
Both Cejudo and Song agreed to run it back in the Octagon, although White was not so enthusiastic about the idea of a rematch.
