Guardiola, whose only remaining goal for the season now sealed a place in the Champions League of next season, has admitted the title, but believes that his team can bring it to Liverpool in a one -off match.
The Catalan said: “I don't think we're in a bad time – apart from Madrid, who are now a better team. The priority, the Premier League, is extremely important to us and we have done good competitions.
“Even when we lost 5-1 against Arsenal, I would say we played a very good 60 minutes. Apart from the first five, when we admit the goal and gave away another chance, the rest was good. In other games, for example Newcastle, we have been to a high level.
“We will try to play a good game and take the points that we have to stay there to qualify for next season to be where we were until last Wednesday.
“But Liverpool is a top team in many aspects. They only lost one match in the Premier League. That's why it's a good test for us. “
