Manchester United may have saved a point against Everton, but Alan Shearer was not in the mood to forgive three of their stars for their efforts in what a shocking first half of the Red Devils was.
The Red Devils are in the middle of one of their worst campaigns in decades, with off-field problems aggravated by a miserable Premier League season that sees them 15th in the rankings.
The men of Ruben Amorim have already lost 12 top matches and were on course for another when Everton punished a weak game and a bad defense during their last trip to Goodison Park.
Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure made the score on 2-0 during the break, only for Fernandes to generate a comeback by scoring a free kick and sending another that led Manuel Ugarte a 2-2 draw safely.
However, Shearer had not forgotten what took place in the first half, pointing to Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund and Diogo Dalot for their defensive work in the first 45 minutes, who label their efforts 'pathetic'.
He was not impressed by the way in which Dalot of Everton was stood by Everton -Harrison for one of Everton's attacks, while he criticized Hojlund and Fernandes for their hopeless urgent structure of Doucoure's strike.
“View Man United, look at this, I mean, this is pathetic,” said the top scorer of the Premier League on the day of the day.
'You have players who walk. It makes no sense to go in and two, look at the space that Everton has to play. Look at Harrison, look at Garner, “Shearer told Match of the Day.
'Both want the ball, both want to receive the ball. And if they get it, Dalot is eight meters out. Why are you not one meter out and when they get it, you put in a crunching taille? Then the run of Garner as desired, at ease.
'Suddenly they are three in your back. Again the same, you go from left to right, take two touches, three touches, take your head up, choose your pass, go wherever you want, because it's so easy for you because nobody works.
'For me it is confused.com. I'm not sure if they know what they are doing there. Look at the effort or lack thereof.
'Everton's second goal is the worst of the party. View this from Bruno Fernandes, when Doucoure gets the ball. Serious is that the best you can do?
'Take a little, play behind and Everton gets the goal they really earn. So the difference between the two teams and for 72 minutes Man United was hopeless. I look at some of the players and they really struggle. '
Amorim admitted after the game that his team was invisible in the first half.
“We just played half and we managed to draw the game,” he said.
“We didn't exist in the first half. Everything we did in the week, think the free man was there, I think the space was there, but I think we have lost balls that we cannot lose.
'Everyone who looks at Everton knows that they will be really good on second balls and the two goals are second balls. That's why you are disappointed.
“But let's not just concentrate on the negatives. In the second half, I said, regardless of the result, we are going to do what we did during the week, but with a little more energy.
“I think you saw that it was no different in the positions, it was different in the quality with which we played the game.”
