Co-owner of Manchester United Sir Jim Ratcliffe has introduced his final round of cost-saving measures on the Red Devils Training Ground, according to reports.
Since the partial control over the club last year, the office of Ratcliffe has been characterized by a series of cuts on the infrastructure on the side, including canceling the Christmas party.
These measures have also seen financing for a charity that supported former players, as well as an increase in ticket prices.
However, his last step will probably affect everyone in the club outside the first team.
According to The Sun, United is now ready to only serve soup and sandwiches at Carrington to anyone who is not in the first team team in the last attempt to save money.
Moreover, the young people under the age of 18 were denied the opportunity to play under the lights at Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup.
Usually their fifth round collision with Tranmere would have been increased in the iconic house of the club, but to save the club £ 8,000 it was played elsewhere.
Instead of Old Trafford, the U18s played in Leigh Sports Village on the site of 12,000 capacity there.
It comes in a season in which the club spent nearly £ 15 million learning Erik ten Hag and Dan Ashworth, as well as another £ 9.2 million to bring Ruben Amorim to the club from Sporting.
The versions on the field this season have left a lot to be desired, with United in 15th place in the Premier League.
With West Ham, who beats Arsenal at the weekend, the Red Devils are now only ahead of the Hammers on target difference.
Because of their most recent outing, they save a 2-2 draw in Everton, after a blistering first half of the Toffees, under former United boss David Moyes.
After the game, Amorim admitted that his team was invisible in the first half after another disappointing result.
“We just played half and we managed to draw the game,” he said.
“We didn't exist in the first half. Everything we did in the week, think the free man was there, I think the space was there, but I think we have lost balls that we cannot lose.
'Everyone who looks at Everton knows that they will be really good on second balls and the two goals are second balls. That's why you are disappointed.
“But let's not just concentrate on the negatives. In the second half, I said, regardless of the result, we are going to do what we did during the week, but with a little more energy.
“I think you saw that it was no different in the positions, it was different in the quality with which we played the game.”
