Bryce Mitchell has withdrawn from his upcoming grab match with Ilay Barzilay that would take place this week.
The controversial featherweight was set to stack at 34 pounds from his last fight with Kron Gracie at UFC 310 to compete on an 180 pound-catch weight. His opponent Barzilay is a career light weight with an unbeaten 6-0 MMA record and is of Israeli descent.
'Thug Nasty' went to social media to confirm his withdrawal, without informing Karate Combat bosses before he made the decision. It is believed that he had permission to compete outside the UFC, as many hunters do in non-striking events.
Bryce Mitchell withdraws from karate combat fight with Ilay Barzilay
In an Instagram video that was shared this afternoon, Bryce Mitchell stated that he will not compete as planned this weekend against Ilay Barzilay. The couple was set for a wrestling game, but he insists that he is out because of a large UFC fighting announcement in the future.
In the video he claimed to tell his followers what song on nearly 600,000, the news before he even contacted Karate Combat to let them know.
In his own inimitable style, Mitchell wrote the following message strewn with spelling errors: “I am a mess around with Grapplin competitions for a while that I have to fit if I have the chance. And things have just been cleaned up in my division this week, so I have to be on stand -by.
“I will not make the mistake of taking a grappplin match and then to cancel again for a range. Sorry for that for everyone who had hope. Like I said, a little better is comin. So it will all work. “
Bryce Mitchell is one of the most controversial names of UFC
Bryce Mitchell has long been one of the most shameful figures in the UFC and has made itself one of the most controversial in recent weeks. In the debut episode of his podcast Arkansanity, he stated that he would have liked to 'fish' with notorious Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
This led to widespread conviction for Mitchell, who previously embraced a number of conspiracy theories, including flat earth. He also claimed that Gravity is a 'hoax'.

After Mitchell's comments on his podcast, he was widely convicted of sport, with UFC boss Dana White Count Media: “We immediately contacted Bryce when we read what he said, and let him know exactly how we felt about it .
“But what he said was extremely disgusting and he needs real education about the facts around Hitler and the Second World War … Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil people who ever walk the earth, and everyone who even tries an opponent Position to be made is an idiot.
“That is the problem with internet and social media. You offer a platform for many stupid and ignorant people. '
