Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling and upcoming title Challenger Diego Lopes sparkled about the legitimacy of the upcoming UFC 314 headliner.
Diego Lopes 'Fast climb on a UFC -Fedweight title shot, almost two years since his days' notes promotion debut, will be a circle around the UFC 314 in April. Lopes will be confronted with Alexander Volkanovski for Ilia Topurias evacuated featherweight title after Topuria announced his switch to lightweight.
Lopes earned the title shot despite one of his former rivals who made a strong case for a shot on the empty belt. Movsar Evloev, who remains unbeaten in his professional career, died for the UFC 314 slot opposite Volkanovski despite nine victories in the division.
Evloev defeated Aljamain Sterling in December to solidify himself as one of the best featherweight contenders. In the light of the UFC 314 announcement, Sterling believes that the matchmakers have been wrong.

Diego Lopes mocked Aljamain Sterling after questioning UFC 314 matchmaking
In a recent message to X, Sterling stood for his most recent opponent as the most merit of the UFC 314 vacant title shot.
“Absolutely should have been his movsar, but of course, not a hunter in their rightful mind, will someday reject a title shot because they think” it's the right thing to do “, so that someone who deserves more gets,” argued Sterling.
Lopes noticed the tweet van Sterling and mocked it with 'smiling' emojis in a quick answer. After a fan Lopes asked what he laughed at, Sterling doubled.
'Exactly, I am confused about the joke. Please let us enter the joke Diego [laughs] You have the shot about the man you have defeated. Be grateful and make the best out of the chance, “Sterling replied.
It was not long before Lopes responded when he accused Sterling and Movsar Evloev of diving fights.
“The joke is that I am going to fight for the title because I am the most active hunter in the division, because I accept fighting and do not deny them as you and your friend Movsar did and do,” Lopes said.
Lopes lost Van Evloev through unanimous decision on UFC 288 in his UFC debut, which was aware of days after the original opponent of Evloev had been withdrawn. Lopes has since won five straight fights, including his most recent victory over Brian Ortega on UFC 306.

After Topuria had left the belt, Lopes revealed in a recent interview that the UFC matchmakers told him that they would no longer have champions defended several belts at the same time. UFC CEO Dana White has since played in that position and reveals that the desired two-title activities will lead to fighters 'very busy'.
It is also uncertain whether Topuria will receive an immediate lightweight title shot when the division is added. UFC Lightweight Islam Makhachev and Topuria have been hooking for months, including the most recently after the successful defending defense of Makhachev at UFC 311.
The UFC -Fedweight title is now for picking up on UFC 314, while Volkanovski and Lopes are preparing for squared. But Sterling believes that Evloev, and not Lopes, was the most deserving matter for an empty title fight opposite Volkanovski.
