Former two-division UFC title farmer Henry Cejudo's Fall From Grace started when he abruptly announced his retirement on UFC 249. Five years later, the Cejudo decision turns away at the peak of his star row after a third defeat at UFC Seattle.
Cejudo lost to Song Yadong through technical decision (unanimous) in the UFC Seattle Main Event last Saturday in Climate Pledge Arena. A back and forth fight was abruptly stopped after a casual eye poke led to Cejudo was unable to continue to compete because of the blurry vision.
It was again a disappointing and frustrating setback for Cejudo, which is moving to 0-3 since the end of his retirement of several years in 2023. He returned to UFC 288 against the then champion Aljamain Sterling, lost a split decision for the Bantamgegichtgordel .
Cejudo announced his retirement after a victory over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. In retrospect, his decision to walk at the top and return a few years later would come back to chase him.

After the third defeat of Cejudo in UFC Seattle, Cejudo's interview made the rounds online after the fight on UFC 249. Many fans believed that his decision to retire and abruptly put an end to his Bantamweight title Reign led to his continuous losing skid.

Cejudo remains optimistic about his Fighting Future na UFC Seattle and wants to face another rising competition to get back to the mix in the Bantam weight. The last victory of Cejudo came across Cruz, and before that he became one of the first two -division champions of the UFC.
