While Cejudo and Yadong Dana White continue to put pressure to book an immediate rematch, there is more than one potential opponent for 'Triple C'.
After the controversial conclusion of UFC Seattle, Henry Cejudo called for an immediate rematch against Yadong; However, it does not sound like the promotion is on board.
Well, if the UFC decides to get rid of that rematch, Henry Cejudo would want his next fight against a former champion that shows 'no mercy' in the Octagon.

Henry Cejudo focuses on number Yadong Rematch, or former champion now
Speaking with Bisping and Felder through the podcast of Believe You Me, Henry Cejudo teased that if his next fight is not against 'The Kung Fu Kid', he would like to face the #2 -arranged bantam weight candidate.
'I would like to run it back with him [Song Yadong]But if I can't run back with him; I know that [Petr] Yan said May was open – I would love that fight with Petr Yan.
'Do you know what I am saying? We could delete it – if my eye gets better, then I am ready in May and Song has all his chance for Petr Yan, so give me Petr Yan Dude. “
Following the controversial end of the UFC Seattle Main Event, Yan revealed that he would like to return in May or June of this year while having a shot on Bantam weight gold.
The former champion defeated Song Yadong through a unanimous decision in March 2024, after which he reversed Deaveson Figueiredo in a similar way.
Later in the interview, 'Triple C' also acknowledged that a possible collision with Yan could very well represent his last fight under the UFC banner.
“I want the most difficult and the biggest matches, so that I can go back to the title, and that can just be my last fight; I want to fight one last time, whether I win, loss or ticks – I just want to be able to end a fight.
“I will be ready within the coming months, I just have to heal this thing and I think we will be good – but if we don't get a song, I would like to hold a fight against Petr Yan.”
Former enemy would rather retire Henry Cejudo after UFC Seattle
Although a whole series of UFC hunters have emerged in support of Cejudo about the controversy in Seattle in Seattle, there are also people who believe it is time for him to walk away.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Flyweight Goat Demetrious Johnson admitted that he would like to see Cejudo retiring from the MMA sport.
“Now he is on a three-field loss line, what does he do afterwards?” Johnson thought and just stated that he does not see the point of Cejudo who hangs around when he has already achieved so much.
“The chance that Henry Cejudo will have opportunities to keep fighting number one again and again, I just don't see it happening. Not saying that it is not possible, but I don't see it happening.
“Would I like to see Henry Cejudo retired? Yes, I think so. He has defeated me, flight weight champion, defended the belt, Bantamweight champion … That is more than half of the M – – F – – on the Roster will ever do … There is no reason to fight and his health Keep risking. “
