Ambitious Saudi Pro League clubs are willing to break the world transfer record to sign Vinicius Junior this summer.
The Real Madrid -Vleugel player, 24, has been a long -term objective for the Public Investment Fund (PIF) clubs in Saudi, while striving to sign some of the world's top talents.
Vinicius JR will have two years on his current contract at the end of this season. And that could open the door for him to make a sensational movement abroad in a deal where the total package would probably exceed the world record £ 200 million that Paris Saint-Germain paid to acquire the fellow countryman of the Brazilian, Neymar, in 2017.
As described by De Telegraaf, conversations about a possible movement have already taken place in the background. It is said that it will be up to the player to decide whether he should push ahead with a switch for making history.
Although Real Madrid has no appetite to sell one of their biggest stars, it is thought that a deal would continue if Vinicius JR gives the green light to all interested parties.
Hilal is mentioned as a possible destination for the Brazilian international: they are the most decorated club in the Saudi Pro League and have also qualified for this summer's world cup in the United States.
In addition to the interest in Vinicius JR, Saudi clubs have chased Liverpool forward in the past 18 months, Mohamed Salah. Although there has been few updates to that interest and whether it still looks, the Egyptian confirmed that there was still no agreement with his current club about a new deal when he was questioned on Wednesday.
He shook his head with a smile before he told TNT sports: “In a very polite way!” He added: “I want fans to remember that I gave it all to the fans, I gave it all to the city.
“I was here, I was not lazy, I just enjoyed my football and gave it all. I think that's what the city is about – they give you love and you have a bond with them because you give everything. I just want them to remember that I was eight years old – and I gave it all.
“To be eight years here is not something that I naturally consider. Playing in a top club like Liverpool, who fight for every trophy every year, is incredible. I have the feeling that I am in very good condition and try to make sure that not only I improve, but that the players around me also improve.”
