UFC referee admits to major mistake as Henry Cejudo confronts him over eye poke controversy

The Fallout from UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Song continues; Although this time Henry Cejudo directly confronted Jason Herzog about the Vecht-Infitigende Eye Coke.

The drama around the controversial end of UFC Seattle will probably remain a big talk point for several weeks, if not months, although it is nice to get some clarity from the man in the middle of all this.

Earlier today, Henry Cejudo called UFC referee Jason Herzog to confront him with his decision not to punish 'The Kung Fu Kid' about his fight-dependent error with the veteran official who made an honest admission.

Henry Cejudo confronts Jason Herzog over Eye Poke

In a video shared on his Instagram account, former double champion Henry Cejudo can be seen Die Jason Herzog calls directly from his home studio.

The video call starts with Cejudo who explains his stall; First, criticizing Herzog for not removing Song Yadong in the immediate aftermath of the annoying double eye poke.

And second, for his decision not to stop the match for a second time, when the popular Chinese peak continued to fight with vast fingers – even though they were clearly warned to stop them by the veteran referee.

“First of all, you didn't take a point, and when two, when I took the five -minute break and we finally returned to actually fight, as if I had still not recovered, but that guy still came here [with outstretched fingers] And you didn't do anything.

“Fortunately I couldn't see it – or I saw at least four arms – but you never warned him, or you never removed a point,” said Cejudo, after which the video cuts to Herzog's reaction.

'I will give you my perspective right now and then just so that you hear it, and I try not to say that it is right or wrong, I have heard you now and I totally agree.

“Especially afterwards when he came out with his fingers [pointing out]Why not? [I] Stop it then and take a point immediately … I think that is a very valid criticism and an adjustment that I should have made. I think that's a reasonable point. “

Jason Herzog admits that he should have removed the point after Eye Poke

A understandably emotional 'Triple C' explained how much of his frustration amounts to the fact that Herzog had experienced such scenarios with him in the dressing room – scenarios that were not carried by the fight itself.

“You say these rules in the back Jason, and I think that's what kind of bug me, that you have done this thing specifically [outstretched fingers] – everything you said [in the back] I happened to and it didn't make sense.

“I have a loss on my record, Jason, because you didn't make the right call and that bothers me a bit.”

Although we do not yet hear the full conversation, Herzog admitted that he should have taken a point from Song Yadong.

“I can't say that you were wrong and when I looked at it again, I am:” Yes, I should have stopped it and take a point. “

Cejudo song was stopped after the fourth round went on and it was decided after the three rounds because of eye samples that made Cejudo who were unable to continue.

If Herzog had recorded the point as many believe that he should have had it, the result would have been a majority speech-of 28-29, 28-29 and 27-30 (song); Until 28-28, 28-28 and 27-29.

If you need a more detailed breakdown of the score, experienced civil servant John McCarthy would have a fascinating explanation about what went wrong in UFC Seattle.
