Ruben Amorim has publicly defended Patrick Dorgu after the goal-oriented fault of the 20-year-old player and the red card against the city of Ipswich on Wednesday.
Despite a 3-2 victory at Old Trafford and three points for the Premier League table, it was a horror evening for the Denmark International.
It all started when Dorgu was involved in a mix with Andre Onana a mistake that led to the opening goal of Ipswich in the fourth minute through the efforts of Jaden Philogenic-Bidace.
The Red Devils managed to make it right and even take the lead when Matthijs de Ligt got on the score sheet with a strike in the neighborhood after a corner kick game.
Despite a comfortable situation at the end of the first half, United was reduced to 10 men on the field after referee Darren England Dorgu sent out after a VAR review after a reckless challenge on Omari Hutchinson.
In an interview after the game with TNT Sports after the end of the game, Amorim said: 'Today I am not frustrated.
'With the situations of the game, of course you get a bit frustrated by the game because we have had a goal, one mistake and that can happen.
'But since the first minute I felt that the players were in order, trying to play.
“We managed to score two goals and then sending the game changed a bit, but the fight that the boys showed … and our fans helped us a lot, so I think we have completely earned the three points today.”
Fortunately for United and Dorgu, Harry Maguire responded to the second equalizer of Philogene-Bidace with a stunning head strike after the corner of Bruno Fernandes in the 47th minute.
“There are moments that are real, very difficult, but that is of course in our profession,” he added.
'You have to suffer at times to enjoy the good moments. We have to pass this moment, we just have to think about the next game and not in the past or in the future.
“Let's think right now. We won this game and let's prepare for the next one. '
The 20-year-old saw his third Premier League start since he moved to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
He made his debut against Leicester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the beginning of February, but was quickly replaced during the break by Alejandro Garnaacho.
“Every player here can have a mistake such as Patrick and sending today, he wants to play the ball,” Amorim added.
“Maybe he is a bit hard with the way he went for the ball. He is inexperienced, but he is clearly ready for the Premier League.
'People judge immediately, so last week he was fine, good performance against Everton and today they will say that he is not experienced enough to play in the Premier League. But I don't feel that way. '
Dorgu's resignation means that the Denmark International will not be available for the collision of United against Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup in Old Trafford on Sunday.
The newcomer of the Red Devils will participate in the long list of the absent from United, because several important players, such as Kobbie Mainoo, Jonny Evans and Luke Shaw, are injured.
Moreover, it has been confirmed that Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo are out for the rest of the current season.
