Valencia willing to listen to offer from AC Milan for star defender
Valencia have become accustomed to selling their top academy talents after a few years in the first team, or even some of their young signings. That was the case last summer for Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will leave next year. Center back Cristhian Mosquera is emerging as their next big potential sale.
Los Che are currently involved in contract negotiations with Mosquera, but those talks have stalled and the two sides have failed to reach an agreement. His current contract runs until 2026, meaning that if Valencia cannot get a deal done, they will likely be forced into a sale before next season. Matteo Moretto has told Relevo that AC Milan have been considering a move to Mosquera in recent weeks and that Valencia would be willing to listen to offers of around €25-30 million for the Spaniard under-21 international.
Mosquera joined the team two seasons ago under Ruben Baraja and has impressive strength and speed, as well as a sense of defence. Last season he played 36 times for Los Che and this year he played every minute for Baraja. He was also part of Spain's run to the Olympic gold medal in the summer, which attracted the interest of Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
