Roy Keane and Ian Wright had an explosive debate about Bruno Fernandes' captincy in one of the legendary former United Kapitein's evil moments in Punditry so far.
The captain of Fernandes has drawn a lot of criticism in recent seasons, with fingers pointed to his Petulance and Histrionics on the field as reasons why he might not be the best leader.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder, however, is undoubtedly the most talented player at the club, and as such presents an example and a standard for the rest of his side to try.
But with United who struggles in the table in 14th place, things hardly go swimming in Old Trafford.
As such, the newest episode of The Stick to Football Podcast, by Sky Bet, saw a fierce discussion about his skills to lead the side and / or guilt at his feet.
Keane launched in a tirade on the 'F *** ING Bizarre' celebrations after they had come to Everton from behind to level, which suggests that they were comparable to having 'the cup won' before he pointed his attentions to Fernandes.
'I see fans at competitions and they sing for Bruno. I see these guys, I think you're scammed! '
And when Wright does not agree on Bruno, he adds: 'Ah Wrighty, I have had enough of that waste! You look at United every week, we focus more on United. Sit down and watch a game with him! People pretend to close people. '
Arsenal -legend Wright then argues that Fernandes led the good example by bringing his team back to games when they need a moment of inspiration that Keane refers again.
'Talent is not enough! You keep going back to talent – Bruno is a talented player, but it's not enough!
'With whom were you in the dressing room, Tony Adams! Tony Adams was this, Tony Adams was that because he was a hunter!
“You have young players who have to look at someone and go” I like what he is doing “. They can't put the ball in the top of the net from 25 meters, I understand that, but you want someone who goes “guys, are you with me? Are you with me?”
Until now it appears from that figures that United was more dependent on Fernandes than any other player.
His six goals and seven assists (13 contributions) count this period for 39.4 percent of the goals of his party (33).
As such, Wright did not have to be disturbed and the virtues of Fernandes will continue to sign to unite.
'Maybe he is not that kind of captain, Roy, I am with you, but what he does in respect for … Save you, playing pass, the goal.
“If Bruno is not there, United is in the relegation fight.”
The debate remained furious about the status of United at or without Fernandes, before it turned to where the finger could be directed in the current united side.
'Forget the board and so for a second. The players who walk on the field, who start to point your fingers? At one point, players have to look at themselves, look at the person in the mirror. So who would you start with Man United?
“The goalkeeper? [Harry] Maguire? Would you make an attempt for Maguire? Or are you too pally with people? '
Wright once again underlines that not all debt can be attributed to Bruno, just because he is the captain before Keane again draws comparisons with Gunners icon Adams.
“You sit there every few weeks and you say that Tony Adams is great,” he says, before Wright intervenes to say that he was the captain he was used to, what Keane's must fond of an furious answer so far.
'Of course, that's what the captain we expect [sic]! Tony Adams used to be – was Tony Adams the most talented player in the dressing room of Arsenal? So why do you look up to Tony Adams and do you “listen, I have a lot of time for him?” '
Wright replies: “Because he was a great leader and he led us, he leads us to the championship and everything.”
Jill Scott then offers her thoughts and says: 'I just think if I had a captain, I wouldn't want him [team-mates]That's what I think. '
But Keane ends the debate by asking Wright to identify where he would blame for the current malaise of United, before he gives a demonstration about how they cannot press players in a game – something he believes he sees too much of it.
Who then? I asked you a question, who would you go “he should do a little more”? If they go on that field, show some courage, the ball want. If you close someone, you close them well!
“Let me tell you something, if you close someone, this is what I call a bluffer, I'll close you, but I don't really close you” Keane Mimes Mimes Half-hearted as if I was closing Wright-and you pass it, “I did it!”
'F *** off! Excuse my language. '
