Man Utd stars ‘are angry as Amorim links their poor form to redundancies

Man United Stars is said to be furious with Ruben Amorim, but are not yet close enough for their manager to air their grievances with him.

The pressure valve was released a bit at Old Trafford after Wednesday's 3-2 victory on Ipswich that man United dragged in the Premier League table until 14th.

But outside the field it was again a terrible week for the club. On Monday, CEO Omar Berrada confirmed that up to 200 employees could lose their jobs.

After that news broke out, Amorim pointed his finger on his players and said that their failures to qualify for the Champions League and had led their bad Premier League form to the cutbacks.

“We have to tackle all the problems in the club, but an important piece of the moment is to understand how we achieve this situation,” said Amorim.

“It has a lot to do with the lack of success of the football team because we are the engine of every football club.”

Now the sun reports that those comments have caused disharmony in the dressing room of Man United.

A source said to the sun: 'If you were to go Carrington to Carrington, you would think that the players and Amorim love it.

'But the truth is that the players are frustrated because they are blamed for the financial problems of the club.

'However, they did not challenge the manager because they have not yet formed a bond with him.

“He is clear in what he wants from them on the field, and they try to implement it.

'But although some of them fully support his tactics, they feel that they cannot speak if Amorim is steadfast in what he wants.

“They do what they are told, or they think it's good or not … The players feel that they cannot show displeasure or it will be a problem.”

The source added that Captain Bruno Fernandes is one that is closest to Amorim and were used as a leadership between the boss and his players.

After Wednesday 10-man victory on Ipswich, Fernandes hinted that he and his teammates have doubts about the tactics of their manager.

Fernandes said to TNT Sport after the game: 'I and H (Maguire) have been here for a while, so we know that we have to stay with what we have trained, what we have tried to do, what we should do.

'You couldn't feel in times, it doesn't work, but for some reason the manager wants us to do that.

'If he wants us to do that, they (the opposition) look at many games and prepare.

'We have a great staff, not only from his, but those who are already there. We have great people behind the team to try to work on it, so if they do that in the right way, we just have to get to the field and show it. '

Fernandes and Co get their next chance to do exactly that when Man United Fulham hosts in the FA Cup FA Cup Fifth round collision on Saturday.
