Endrick causes a problem for Ancelotti

Does Carlo Ancelotti Endrick have to start giving more time?

Endrick seizes every occasion as if it were his last – and with good reason. So far he has only started four games this season: one in the Champions League against Lille (a 1-0 defeat) and three in the Copa del Rey (against Deportiva Minera, Leganés and Real Sociedad).

It is remarkable that he still has to start in Laliga after 25 league games. In total he played only 474 minutes and ranked him as the 20th most used player in the first team (with the exception of Asencio, who also surpassed him in the playing time).

But when he is on the field, he makes his presence feel. He has scored six goals, making him the sixth highest scorer of the team, and he has the best goal-per-minute ratio in the team just every 79 minutes on the net.

'It is fast, powerful and extremely clinical'

For comparison: Mbappé, the next most efficient, scores every 114 minutes. But beyond the numbers it is his attitude that stands out. Despite his impressive form, he remains self -critical, frustrated when he misses the opportunities. After a recent match, he admitted: 'I am a bit angry – I could have done better. But by failing, you improve. I always said it: I am an employee and I have to keep working. “

Now the decision is with Ancelotti, which is remarkably reserved in his approach to the young Brazilian. After the goal of Endrick in San Sebastián, however, the coach was full of praise: “He is a striker with very clear strengths – he is fast, powerful and extremely clinical. He still has to improve his ball control, but he has the pace, the shot … he could even have scored a second goal. He is a spectacular finisher. Very young, but he learns quickly. 'The most important question remains: is it fast enough to prevent a loan movement, or would a temporary switch be the best option for his development?

Can Endrick leave Real Madrid?

The representatives of Endrick acknowledge that, the end of the season, discussions will be needed – first private and then with Real Madrid – to determine the best path in advance. His ambition has always been to become a member of Madrid and to stay, but the presence of Mbappé in the attack presents a major obstacle for its growth. A loan movement, which means that he can collect valuable minutes elsewhere in Europe, is increasingly considered a feasible alternative.

For now, however, the season is not over yet and Endrick still has time to prove itself in his debut campaign. If Madrid reaches the last phases of all matches, they could play up to 29 more games, including the New Club World Cup, which could add to the calendar from June to July and seven more games.

Ancelotti, known for his reluctance to rotate, will soon have no choice but to rely on the depth of the team. Endrick, with every occasion he enters, strengthens his case for more minutes – and feeds the ongoing debate in Madrid about what he should do to him after July 2025.
