Vitor Roque exit moves Barcelona closer to Lamine Yamal agreement

Barcelona hopes to have Vitor Roque exit signed before the Brazilian transfer window closes on 28 February.

As part of long-term transfersaga, the 19-year-old will complete a daring return to his native country in Palmeiras, only 13 months after he arrived at Barcelona from Athletico Paranaense.

The teenager has passed a difficult stint in Catalonia, after arrival with great promise in Barcelona last January, but he had trouble making an impact in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

His overwhelming form, and the arrival of Hansi film as the new boss of Barcelona, meant the need for change from both parties before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

He chose to join Real Betis for a seasonal loan agreement, but similar problems with his shape appeared, while a clear start broke out at the end of 2024.

With his prospects cut in both Catalonia and Andalucia, Palmeiras saw the chance to make a movement, despite the need for a complex exit plan.

The negotiation process has been difficult for all clubs involved, because Barcelona accepted an offer worth € 25.5 million from Palmeiras, but to make the deal progress, they had to be approved by Real Betis and FIFA to cancel his loan.

Los Verdiblancos also wanted a fee for losing him halfway through the season, and they now have, because Barcelona agreed to give them 30% more of the rights of EZ Abde and to take them up to 80%.

With an agreement now completed, time is now the only problem, because the striker is flying to Brazil to sign a five -year -old deal.

The release of another player will release the financial limitations in Barcelona and release the required salary space to ratify the 12 -month extension of Inigo Martinez.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the club will also come closer to registering the incoming renewal of Lamine Yamal, for priority before summer.
