This weekend, the FA Cup comes in the last 16 when teams look for glory in the most famous domestic cup match of world football.
The chance is in the air as teams dream of lifting a trophy at Wembley and there remains the chance of some magic because five championship teams remain in the tournament. One team of the second level is guaranteed in the hat for the quarterfinals with Preston who welcomes Burnley on Deepdale.
The outputs of once Fancie Kansborners Liverpool and Arsenal, the top two teams in the country according to the League ranking, the remaining clubs will drool their chances of success. Although, Manchester City still stands in the way, and last year's winners Manchester United are still contrary.
It is all to play for if the teams will be reduced in the coming days. Mirror Football has arranged the chances of the left's remains in the competition.
16) Plymouth Argyle
The pilgrims already overcome the opportunities by beating the best team in the country in Liverpool during the final round, but are re -confronted with a stiff test. Plymouth is confronted with a trip to Etihad to compete against Manchester City and the most inapplicable gap in the ranking.
If they can find success again, these are the stuff of the legend. Unfortunately that is for a reason.
15)
Cardiff City
The Bluebirds have the opportunity to become the first team to the quarterfinals, but are also confronted with one of the more difficult tasks. Aston Villa has passed some difficulties in the Premier League, but has shown in the Champions League that they can increase their match for Cup competition and it is difficult not to support Unai Emery in a one-time competition, such as his family tree.
14) Ipswich Town
The tractor boys could be forgiven because they are more focused on the Premier League survival, but have the chance to give their fans something to cheer in the FA Cup. Unfortunately, their opposition in the competition – Nottingham Forest – are the best placed team.
13) Millwall
There is certainly some added fire when the lions opposite Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park. If Alex Neill's side can pull the Eagles into a spicy affair and put pressure on the Premier League side, an upset is possible, but it will not be an easy task.
12) Preston
Two scoreless draws have come in Preston's competitions with Burnley this season, which suggests that a tight collision will see this weekend. They can be second traffic despite home advantage, but the element of a rivalry between Lancashire can add the mix some surprise. It is difficult to see North End progressing further, even if they navigate through this round.
11) Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers did not even defeat Bournemouth a week ago away from home, so it will be in the mood for their chances to do the same again. After opening a small gap from the relegation zone, Vitor Pereira would not say no to a cup success, but going completely can be too far for the Midlands Club.
10) Burnley
The Clarets have not admitted a goal in the championship since December and to ensure that tightly disputed competitions would give them a chance to give a goal. The team of Scott Parker hopes to claim praise Beyond Preston and then to give the best possible opportunity to continue.
9) Manchester United
The Red Devils showed what they were able to do when they defeated Arsenal in the third round of the competition, but have shown their lack of power more often this season. United has struggled at home this season and although they have done double of Fulham this season, there will be no victory.
The best performance of the club under Ruben Amorim has come across as Arsenal and Liverpool, with few sides of that caliber left, it is difficult not to anticipate a slip -up, causing them to defend their trophy.
8) Fulham
The Cottagers enjoy a good season under Marco Silva, but have not found the back of the net in two attempts against United. A victory at Old Trafford would immediately fight Fulham, but they must first be able to be able to take a fast -table opposition.
7) Crystal Palace
Palace will be confident to continue to the next round and given their mid -table position will soon be able to go into everything on the FA Cup. The side of Oliver Glasner has achieved positive results against the Premier League parties that are still in the competition this season and will play their chances.
6) Brighton
The seagulls have enjoyed many ups and downs under Fabian Hurzeler, and the prospect of being confronted with a Newcastle without Alexander Isak, Brighton can simply offer a boost. The Sussex side can be not consistent to navigate all rounds, but have a lot of potential to beat the remaining teams.
5) Aston Villa
Unai Emery has proven himself a master of navigating Knock -Out Competition in Europe and there is no doubt that he will hope that this can translate into the success of FA Cup. In Cardiff they are not only confronted with a side of a division lower, but also one that looks like residual players to prioritize their relegation struggle.
Villa has already enabled itself against Bayern Munich this period, but a busy end of the season on several fronts can hinder it.
4) Bournemouth
The Cherries enjoyed an excellent 2024/25 under Andoni Iraola and cup success would finish things nicely for the south coast side. The Spaniard will hope that his team is better prepared for the challenge of wolves and one of the few teams that have already sent Newcastle, Bournemouth and Manchester City this season. Maybe they should be at the top of the list …
3) Nottingham Forest
Forest may have to be favorites for the competition, based on their competition position, and the side of Nuno Espirito Santo certainly has the talent to maintain a clean slate or to claim a goal against the teams that are still in the hat. She might be rising the family tree of Manchester City and Forest has lost twice to Newcastle this season.
2) Newcastle
The Magpies have already reached the Carabao Cup final and make it a habit of going through Cup matches under Eddie Howe. Alexander Isak ensures that Newcastle has a chance against everyone, although a recent humiliation against City has their positions in the ranking.
1) Man City
The FA Cup is the only chance of Pep Guardiola for a trophy this season and despite a surprising season you can only doubt the citizens for so long. The Premier League champions have more experience than any other team in tasting success and will be driven to end the season at a peak with probably the most talented team.
