Arsenal chase Barcelona target to join Martin Zubimendi next season

Arsenal has marked a 'concrete transfer interest' in Barcelona Joshua Kimmich.

The Germany International has been associated with a potential summer -free transfer to Catalonia, but recent rumors have been cold since the beginning of 2025.

Real Madrid is also tipped to make an offer for the 30-year-old, but Arsenal could now lead the race after an important update.

Bayern Munich reportedly withdrew their contract offer to Kimmich to go beyond the end of the current campaign.

The Bundesliga giants are tired of frequent holding of the future of Kimmich in the club, and he now seems ready to leave Bavaria as a free agent, with four months to go before his contract rises.

Reports from the metro have indicated that Arsenal is now in a strong position, but renewed conversations with Bayern Munich are not excluded at this stage.

Thomas Partey and Jorginho are both expected, leave the Emirates Stadium when their own contracts end in June and Mikel Arteta plants a midfield reflection of Kimmich with experience and versatility in his engine room.

The Gunners also have faith in activating the release clause of € 51 million from Martin Zubimendi at Real Sociedad as part of a long -term link to the Spain International.

The failure of Liverpool to attract him to Merseyside last summer is not a concern for Mikel Arteta and his inability to land with January offers for the Basque playmaker.

Arsenal has already contacted the representatives of Zubimendi about a deal with conversations that are positive between the two parties.

Despite a possible movement for Kimmich that does not include transfer costs, high wages must be processed and Arsenal may have to sell Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard – in addition to Partey and Jorginho's outputs – to finance their summer expenses for the 2025/26 season.
