CESC Fabegas has made an impressive start of his management career at Serie A Newcomers Como, who are 13th in the rankings at this stage. The former midfielder of Barcelona, Chelsea and Spain has become one of the latest talented football players who makes the switch to management, and so far it goes well.
Fabegas recently mastered como to back-to-back to back-to-back victories on Fiorentina and Napoli, and those results have seen them leave the Serie A degradation zone. Many would have tipped them to fall back to the B at the end of the season, but so far they have defied expectations.
And that is why Europe is introduced to the exploits of Fabregas in Como. According to Il Messaggero (via football Italia), a number of top clubs keep an eye on the 37-year-old, and one of them would be his former club, Barcelona.
Manchester City, AC Milan and Inter Milan would also follow the progress of Fabregas before a possible approach in the future, whereby the Rossoneri is probably the first of those clubs who are looking for a new manager, given that Sergio Conukicao is said to be under pressure despite the fact that he allowed only a few months ago.
Barcelona is not expected to go to Fabregas soon, given that they are already planning to have Hansi film as their head coach for at least a few years. However, they acknowledge that their former player could be a very good option, especially because he wants to continue to improve as a manager.
It is still to be seen how the future of Fabregas is going on, but for now his only focus will be on como – and ensure that they succeed in relegation of the Serie A at the end of the season.
