
Wilfried Zaha says that Charlotte FC means “business” after what he had labeled a statement on Atlanta United.
Zaha, who at Charlotte on loan from Galatasaray, marked his MLS debut in style and scored in a 2-0 win for the team of Dean Smith for a huge audience in the Bank of America Stadium.
The former Crystal Palace Forward, who spent the first half of this season on loan in Lyon, but only made four Ligue 1 performances, the second goal of Volleyed Home Charlotte on Saturday.
And the 32-year-old believes that Charlotte has made a declaration of intent at the start of their fourth MLS campaign.
“I think it's an explanation,” Zaha told MLS Season Pass Post game.
“I come here to score goals, the whole team works hard and we also just assume opportunities, so that shows to every other team in the competition that we mean business this season.
Zaha's preparations for his debut were disturbed by the birth of his daughter in London, where he traveled back from just two days before the collision with Atlanta.
“It has been a great week. I have succeeded in witnessing the birth of my daughter, so I feel that it has given me extra strength, extra power that goes in this game,” he added.
“The group is great, we worked hard and we have the victory we needed.”

Otherwise, Zaha had a relatively quiet game, which converted himself with his only shot, while he only created one chance.
Elsewhere in MLS, the Philadelphia Union FC Cincinnati hammered 4-1, while Orlando City claimed a 4-2 victory over Toronto FC.
In the meantime, Luciano Acosta scored his first FC Dallas goal, but could not help his new team to overcome the Colorado Rapids in an exciting 3-3 draw.
There were also victories for Real Salt Lake, the New York Red Bulls, the New England Revolution, Minnesota United, the San Jose Earthquakes, the Portland Timbers and Los Angeles FC.
The first home game of San Diego FC ended 0-0 against St. Louis City SC, while the Chicago Fire and DC United 2-2 pulled.
