Xavi Hernandez is currently enjoying football after his Barcelona last summer, but soon he will return to the Dugout – although it still has to be known where he will end for his third managerial performance.
In recent months there have been regular reports about the future of Xavi, with countless clubs considering him a candidate as their new manager. One of them has reportedly been Manchester United, who would like to take the 45-year-old to take the lead if the current head coach Ruben Amorim would leave or be fired.
And the Premier League could certainly be the next destination for Xavi, because Relevanto has reported that an unnamed club from the Top Flight League of English football is considering a summer approach.
At this stage there have been negotiations between the representatives of Xavi and this united club, with more news that is expected to arrive as the season comes to an end.
Xavi proved himself as a good manager during his term of office as the head coach of Barcelona, despite a disappointing end last season. He won La Liga during the 2022-23 campaign, while he also led the Catalans to Glory in the Spanish Super Cup in 2023 with an extensive 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia. He also made an impression in Qatar with Al-Sadd, about whom he was in charge before he returned to Catalonia in November 2021.
It will be very interesting to see where Xavi ends up, and whether he is taking his new job at the first possible chance in the summer. For now he continues to enjoy his year away from football with his family and good friends, although the work is behind the scenes to make sure that he can get the chance to take a job that seduces him, just like when he was in Barcelona.
