According to a report by Kicker Journalist Frank Linkesch (as captured by @imiasanmia), Bayern Munich is expected to reach an agreement with Center-back dayot Upamecano on a new long-term contract:
At Säbener Straße it is said that Dayot Upamecano will soon sign a new 5-year contract, so that he will hold the club until 2030.
In recent days there have been rumors that Bayern Munich wanted to get a deal with the former RB Leipzig defender, but now things seem to be very serious.
The Bavarian could still try to add a body to the middle position this summer when Eric Dier leaves (as he expects), but Upamecano will probably not go anywhere.
With the rumors that runs until 2030, this would indicate that the Frenchman is expected to be the central figure on the backline in the coming years.
