Man Utd ready to rival Man City for summer transfer of Premier League flop

Manchester City looks at a summer movement for Francisco Trincao, but could be confronted with competition from Manchester United.

The sporty Lisbon star continued to bloom in Portugal despite underwhelming during his previous Premier League stint at Wolves. Ruben Amorim bought him to the Portuguese capital and is expected to focus several of his former players.

The sporting chef Hugo Viana, however, participates in the hierarchy in the Etihad Stadium and can also try to raid the Portuguese club, all of whom can lead to an internal tugboat in the city of Manchester, a Bola reports.

The Lisbon outfit, however, wants to keep Trincao while looking at the offer of a new contract with an interest in the winger. The 25-year-old has played more minutes than someone in the ranks at Sporting and has scored this period nine times while looking at a third straight eye in double figures.

Trincao spent a year in Barcelona after the Spanish giants had signed him from Braga. His stay at the Nou -Camp was short -lived and he was lent to Wolves the following year, but did not succeed in getting the figure and that is where sporty hit, on loan and then permanently signed.

One of the reported clauses in the Wolves loan agreement for Trincao meant that they had to pay £ 5 million in order not to sign the winger with his deal, including a fee in case the Midlands outfit decided not to use the option to buy Barcelona to permanently land him.

Trincao fell over the pecking order under Bruno Lage, because his lack of shape cost him his first team place and the player confessed that he was disappointed to be split off in Molineux.

He said: “I do my best for the coach to think so [I should play more]. It's his decision, I have to respect it. Of course I think I earn more and I try to do that and show that every day. If you are just looking for the end product, you might say that [we haven’t seen the best of me]. But if you watch football in terms of the entire game, you can say that I do great things. “

It is unlikely that Trincao is the only player to ward off sports for this summer. Viktor Gyokeres is tipped to continue after several stunning seasons in Portugal, where he has been productive. Amorim and United are also linked to Geovany Quenda.
