Liverpool join Real Madrid and Barcelona in pursuit of teenage defensive talent

As soon as a European giant wind becomes of what the next big thing could be, a number of other lovers tend to notice. That is the case for the 16-year-old Georgian talent Saba Karebashvili, who makes a name for himself in the Georgian League.

The 16-year-old left back appeared in the summer in Dinamo Tbilisi's Europa Conference League qualification match with Mornar Bar, his only senior performance this season. Last year, however, he was heavily involved in the first team, and made a total of 27 performances for Dinamo and made a sufficient impression to attract interest outside the Georgian borders.

In November it was reported that Barcelona and Real Madrid had made their scouts the task of following his progress, and now according to Anfield Watch (via MD), Liverpool now also appear to be Kharebashvili as a potential future option. Karebashvili became the youngest player in the UEFA competition history during that collision with Mornar Bar, at the age of only 15 -so that the previous record of Borussia Dortmund Youfa Moukoko overshadowed by Borussia Dortmund.

Both giants of Spain have shown themselves willing to spend teenage talents who, according to them, could make the first team, in which Barcelona invests in Mikayil Faye, Pabo Torre and more recently Ibrahim Diarra from Mali. In the meantime, Real Madrid tends to commit alone if they believe that the player can be unique, which spends up to € 100 million alone in transfer costs at Arda Guler and Endrick Felipe, who have a combined age of 38.

Barcelona seems to have left in Alejandro Bald for the time being, but there is enough talk that they will look to strengthen the position in this summer transfer window, albeit probably with a more experienced option than Karebashvili. In the meantime, Real Madrid has doubts about the future in the long term of their left -wing position after missing Alphonso Davies.
