Manchester United has been encouraged to dump Andre Onana – with pronounced former defender Paul Parker, a new alternative suggests that he has brutally described as 'useless'.
United collapsed from the FA Cup against Fulham on Sunday evening to leave Ruben Amorim with only the Europa League to concentrate in the midst of a Shamolic Premier League campaign.
Although United has problems on the field, Parker thinks Onana has proven that he is not the task.
And he tips Leicester's Mads Hermansen as a potential replacement because he has held the troubled foxes with a slender chance of Premier League Survival.
“In an ideal world, Man United should buy a new keeper to replace Onana. He is just not good enough, and I don't think he even looks like a keeper,” he said.
“At the moment I think (second choice Altay) Bayindir should get a chance, but in the long term the club must go for Mads Hermansen, who kept Leicester somewhat intact this season.
“I think he has it all. He is a fantastic shot stopper, he is good with his feet and he has a strong attitude. As a center I would be afraid of having him behind me, but in a good way, because he has such a strong aura.”
Parker, who spoke with pivotXers, added that United should regret it to let David de Gea go in such a “shameful” way afterwards
Similarly, the expert does not think of United, whose attack also requires a makeover, will consider adding a new NO1 as their top priority this summer.
He said: “The problem is likely that the position of the goalkeeper will not be a priority for a new signing, because there are so many other problems in other functions that need to be strengthened.”
“I can't help it, but think about why the club let David de Gea go. It was really a shameful way in which they separated after he was named player of the year three times in a row, and at the moment it looks even more ridiculous because his replacement is so useless.”
“Another thing that I really don't like about Onana is his mentality. It doesn't seem to disturb him when Manchester United gives a goal.
“You never see him shouting there or scolding his defense, as the Gea or Peter Schmeichel always did. For them, keeping a clean magazine was a matter of life and death. It meant everything for them. “
