A fixture that never misses herb as it is, the Madrid Derby has the extra fire that will be delivered this week with a Champions League Knock -Out match. Real Madrid plays the first stage at home in the Santiago Bernabeu, with considerable doubts about the selection of Carlo Ancelotti.
Dani Ceballos was recently added to the injury list next to Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal, leaving a hole in the midfield of Real Madrid. This is only worse by the absence of Jude Bellingham by suspension in the Bernabeu. Diario as expected that Fede Valverde starts on right back.
That leaves a midfield of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, with Captain Luka Modric to start on the couch. Brahim Diaz will be the place of Bellingham. Marca agrees with the same line-up, including Raul Asencio next to Antonio Rudiger at the back, probably flanked by Ferland Mendy.
There are far fewer doubts for Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone. Both of Madrid -based articles Tip Jose Maria Gimenez to return to the backline, although there is a debate about whether that will be next to Clement Lenglet or Robin Le Normand. The other important question mark is on the left side of midfield, where Samuel Lino and Conor Gallagher fight for a place.
The Brazilian started the same fixture in February and may have a small lead on Gallagher, although the English international is a more robust option to fight with Valverde. Atletico miss captain Koke Resurreccion and Cesar Azpilicueta due to injury.
There are seven players who run the risk of the return bone next week, although only Gimenez and Angel Correa for Atletico. If one of Camavinga, Tchouameni, Rudiger, Modric or Endrick Felipe have been booked, they will still give Ancelotti a headache, although the Italian himself is also in danger if he received a yellow.
