Kimmich makes Arsenal feelings clear as Bayern star receives free transfer offer

Joshua Kimmich is not enthusiastic about a move to Arsenal, even though he may leave Bayern Munich free this summer.

The 30-year-old, who enjoyed a trophy-loaded career with the German giants, was recently withdrawn from the contract within a few months and the club recently withdrawn their offer from an extension after he was frustrated by the lack of a reaction from the German international.

Kimmich has played more than 400 times for the Bundesliga giants for almost a decade, but could leave quickly, although moving to North Londs is not on his radar. Arsenal would like to strengthen their midfield ranks and have monitored the player because of his availability.

However, the 30-year-old does not want to become a member of the Premier League side. PSG came to the party and made a concrete offer to the player, who may have a choice between on the way to the French capital or staying if the situation changes, Bild reports.

Arsenal wants to strengthen their options in the middle of the field to help compliment Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. Thomas Partey and Jorginho are reportedly leaving this summer and the signing of Martin Zubimendi has been recommended.

Kimmich would add even more quality and has Champions League-winning experience on his CV. It was the German who scored the goal that Arsenal struck in previous term from Europe when they were lowered by Bayern.

Manchester City is previously connected to Kimmich. Pep Guardiola was at the helm in Germany when the versatile midfielder first came through the ranks and was crucial in his early development, but they have not yet been discussed as an option.

Bayern Chief Max Eberl recently called Kimmich to make a decision about whether he will stay or go. He said, “As often said and confirmed, the conversations have been respectful and appreciative. But everyone believes that a decision should be made as quickly as possible.”

Last season, Kimmich passed a difficult time under the then manager Thomas Tuchel, who was public, was criticism. The New England manager tried to sign a defensive midfielder, a role that Kimmich thought he could play.

This season under Vincent Kompany, Kimmich has made 36 performances – all as a starter.
