Dana White provides a crucial update on Jon Jones’ future in the UFC

UFC fans can be wondered if we will see Jon Jones competing again in the UFC after his title defense against Stipe Miocic on UFC 309.

Last November Jon Jones made the first defense of his UFC heavyweight title when he took controversially against Stipe Miocic.

After Jones had completed Miocic in the third round, he told the UFC fans that he would probably not retire after that fight and instead the fans hope to fight that they want to see.

Of course, the fight that the fans want to see the most is a title -a battle against interim champion, Tom Aspinall, and although negotiations seemed to move in the right direction, things stuck quite quickly.

Dana White offers update on the UFC Future of Jon Jones after the comments of Aspinall

After his defending defense, Jones continued to drift a potential fight against Aspinall, claiming that he would rather fight against Alex Pereira instead because of his Starpower.

Prior to his deficiency defense against Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313, Pereira Bloody Elbow told that his offer to train with Jones has been withdrawn because he believes that the two can still compete against each other.

During that time, Aspinall was apparently left in the Lurch, who wondered if he will eventually fight Jones for the undisputed title.

And with that Aspinall recently came out and gave an update, stating that the delay in making the fight all falls on the side of Jones, because he still did not decide whether he wants to fight against the Brit.

UFC Baas, Dana White, admitted that if Jones came across as Aspinall, he would strip Jones from the title to make the division move forward.

However, White does not think that it should strip 'bones' because he has offered a critical update about the future of the heavyweight champion in the sport.

“Jones will fight against everyone, don't let the internet fool you about Jon Jones,” White told ESPN MMA.

Not only that, but the UFC boss revealed when he expected that he will see Jones again in the UFC -Oachthoek, which gives optimism to the fan base.

“This summer,” White revealed.

Dana White believes that Alex Pereira could take number one place for pound-for-pounds

White has continuously campaigned for Jones as the number one pound-for-pound hunter on the planet, but earlier this year he finally changed thoughts and gave that title to Islam Makhachev.

Nevertheless, with the enormous defending defense of Alex Pereira against Magomed Ankalaev just around the corner, White 'Patan' believes that it will charge the first place, given the threat of the Russian challenger.

“He is currently one of the biggest stars in sport, if not the biggest star in sport at the moment, and what makes great this weekend, Ankalaev is a very serious threat, probably the hardest fight he has ever had.

“Alex comes out here as he came from any other fight, he is perhaps the pound-for-pound best hunter in the world,” White admitted.
