Arsenal and Liverpool put on alert as Newcastle draw up Isak contingency plans

Newcastle has put together a shortlist of top -strikers in the midst of interest in Alexander Isak – but they remain determined to hold the Swede.

Isak, 25, has established itself as one of the deadliest no. 9s in the Premier League since he joined the Magpies in the summer of 2022 and only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland have looted more goals than he was in the competition this season.

Arsenal is an interest in the former real Sociedad striker for months, given their need for an elite frontman. In recent weeks, Liverpool has also been put into the comparison in the midst of speculation, they could look for an upgrade on Darwin Nunez, who has passed a difficult season for goal.

Newcastle's attitude on Isak remains the same: they do not want a desire to cash in their star striker and plan to open contract interviews with him at the end of the season.

But that did not stop them drawing up unforeseen plans, in which the post revealed that the club followed a number of strikers that would only be goals, Warenak were to leave, including Benjamin Sesko.

The RB Leipzig -Frontman is also known as a target for Arsenal, who will enter the market in the summer in the summer after they have kept their powder dry in January.

In addition to Sesko, the Magpies are also impressed by Jonathan David and Liam Delap, who fell for Ipswich Town in the Premier League this season.

Delap is another player who is popular in the summer after looting 10 goals for the tractor boys in the competition. Manchester United and Chelsea are both credited with an interest in rush hour, spending time with Manchester City before moving to Suffolk.

Darren Eales, Chief Executive of Newcastle, repeated earlier this week that the club was not busy selling Isak or one of their other top players, all of whom were registered for long -term contracts.

“The reality is that all our players are among long-term deals,” Eales said, according to the I paper. “They are committed to the club. So from that perspective we don't want to move a player. We have that wish and wish to keep our most important players [and] We are not under the gun [to sell] Or something similar.

“We have a property that is ambitious [and] Want the best for the club. So from that perspective it would be crazy for us to consider it. '
