Casemiro is not happy on the bench as he vows to keep giving his all for Amorim

Casemiro wants to play more at Manchester United and insists that he would not be satisfied to get his £ 375,000 a weekly wages on the bench.

The Brazilian star was on Thursday evening in the starting line-up of United against Real Sociedad in the Europa League for only the 19th time in 43 games this season.

The 33-year-old would be happy to see his contract with Old Trafford under head coach Ruben Amorim, who still has 16 months to walk with the option of another year, but not in a bit piece role.

“If a player is on the couch and is happy, that player is worth nothing for a team,” said Casemiro. 'Of course I want to play. I want to have more minutes, but the coach is the one who makes the decisions, and I have a lot of respect for him and for the club.

'I always say, and these are my values, I respect the coach a lot and I respect the club. Every day I go to Carrington or Old Trafford, I try to do my best. That is my greatest quality. '

The future of Casemiro will again be examined again in the summer, because United loses their wage account and freshens up the team.

“It's too early to talk about next season, but of course I have a year of contract and then an option,” said the midfielder who can start again in Sunday's game against Arsenal in Old Trafford with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo under the 11 United players who are excluded by injuries and suspension.

'We have important competitions and on Sunday we have Arsenal. I am here, I am available, with totally happiness and I am ready for the coach and the club. As everyone knows, I am a big character for the club. '

Amorim has warned that his fighting team will have to 'survive' against Arsenal, although he revealed that Amad Diallo could play again this season after an ankle operation.

“We will see Amad in the past month,” said the United Boss. “I hope to have Amad before the end of the season.”

In the meantime, Amorim has doubled with a claim that he will not have as long as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to reverse his club.

“I think it's another club,” he added. “I will not have the time as Arteta had.”
